"Our extraordinary and powerful vision was revealed by God to our founder, Demos Shakarian, during a very special time of prayer. Demos prostrated himself before God on December 26, 1952, recognizing that it wasn't about him, but about God, and that this organization would succeed only through the power of His Holy Spirit. It is for this reason that, inspired by the Holy Spirit, Demos wrote in 1984 that it was necessary to return to our spiritual roots through prayer.
Prayer has been present since the beginning of the fellowship, but God is calling us back to a time when we consulted Him in prayer about everything relevant."
