What is Fire Teams?
Fire Teams is the official evangelism strategy of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International. It is not just a program, event, or campaign — it is a permanent strategy of evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication.

The Vision
The Birth of a Vision
The history of Fire Teams began not as a program or organizational initiative, but as a divine mandate received through prayer.
In the fall of 1998, Richard Shakarian, President of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI), traveled once again to Nicaragua, where the Fellowship had approximately thirty-five chapters.
During his visit, he met with President of the Republic of Nicaragua to discuss spiritual matters and the role of Christian business leaders in influencing nations for Christ.
After leaving the Presidential Palace, Richard carried an overwhelming burden for the people of Nicaragua — a nation deeply scarred by years of war, revolution, political unrest, and economic hardship.
The following morning, he asked to be taken to Pope John Paul II Plaza in Managua, where he spent several hours alone in prayer. There, while interceding for the nation, Richard received what he described as a divine inspiration and prophetic mandate.

The Seven Commands
Richard Shakarian described receiving a divine inspiration in which he believed God revealed seven commands for the beginning of the Fire Teams ministry.
The first command was to focus on Nicaragua because God had seen the suffering of its people and had heard their prayers.
The second command called for believers to share God's love and pray for one person in every family-from the President's household to the most remote village in the nation. That one individual would become the seed through which an entire family could be transformed.
The third command expanded the mission to every city, suburb, town, village, and crossroads, ensuring that every family would have the opportunity to hear the message of God's love. The fourth command established a specific timetable: the mission was to begin during the first week of May, with May 4, 1999, becoming the appointed launch date.
