FGBMFI - FLASH REPORT FROM THE LATIN SUMMIT - By Richard Shakarian
Wed 22nd January 2003 - What an incredible trip! I have just returned from Guatemala City, where 800 Latin Leaders gathered for the Latin Summit. There were 250 National leaders from 12 nations and approximately 700 leaders from 157 chapters in Guatemala.
Friends, Latin America is on Fire. Mexico has doubled in Chapters and now has more than 1,000 members. Recently, through the Fire Teams, they had 80,000 people make commitments to the Lord. Guatemala now has 16,000 members. Nicaragua has jumped to 220 chapters and is reaching for 400 chapters. It is expected that FGBMFI will double in the next three years in Latin America. Hallelujah!

This spiritual tone is incredible. I saw their unquenchable hunger push them to the next level as I ministered many new things concerning the WAYS and the WAVES of the Holy Spirit, with an emphasis on MULTITUDES and THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The following is a transliteration of the story written by Alberto Ramirez Espada. The world president of FGBMFI, Dr. Richard Shakarian, received the keys of Guatemala City given by Mayor Fritz Garcia-Gallont on Saturday morning. The keys are given in recognition of Mr. Shakarian as a distinguished visitor. Following this recognition, the Mayor Fritz Garcia-Gallont gave the proclamation and Mr. Shakarian signed the Golden Book of the city.

Mr. Shakarian was invited as a guest of the Latin Summit of the FGBMFI aka-FIHNEC. During our interview President Shakarian told us that the FIHNEC laymen were in every part, and structure, of the nation and that their goal was to contribute an understanding of the teachings of Jesus Christ to the cultures of every nation. FIHNEC already includes all Christians, both Catholics and Protestants working together by sowing a good seed that will reap a harvest for a better future.
Mr. Shakarian says, over the years, the media and culture have planted many seeds glorifying lust, drugs and a loose life. Now the Nations are reaping broken marriages, adultery, drugs abuse and high levels of crimes. This turns families against each other and hate replaces love. FIHNEC has discovered that good seeds and the teachings of Christ, among ordinary people, will make a change and give people a better life. Thereby, turning the NATION for good.

The Fraternity FIHNEC has chapters in 155 nations. Their members come from many backgrounds including Catholic, Protestants, and those with no previous Christian backgrounds. They are all searching to build a more successful personal, corporate and national life. They believe their 50th Jubilee, which they are celebrating this year, will bring a Blessing for Guatemala, and the world, for better things.
The Mayor Garcia-Gallont said that he is convinced that Guatemala is in need of major spiritual enlightenment so that the authorities may make decisions with greater wisdom.
It is a NEW DAY in the Fellowship and we want everyone to attend the 2003 World Convention in Anaheim CA.

Fire Teams are still in the city and the County Prison system as we write this update. Many prophecies are being given in the afternoon sessions, as Chuck Flynn ministers this afternoon.

Members of FGBMFI from all over the world are saying that this years International Directors meeting was the best they had ever attended. It started off with a foot washing. Richard Shakarian, International President, washed the feet of Bob Bignold. There was water in the pan, but much more water in the audience, as tears flowed from everyone witnessing this great event. All the reports at the International Board Meeting were positive and uplifting. Everyone is looking forward to the next World Convention, which will be our 50th year Celebration in Anaheim, California, July 29 – August 2, 2003.

Mike Galleher made a slide presentation giving a full financial report for the Full Gospel office. For the first six months of this year the Fellowship had $45,671 excess operating revenue. There was more money that came in, than was spent.

John Carrette, International Executive Vice-President closed the meeting with a presentation showing the members, the Chapters, the officers, and Directors all represented by different paper tubes. When he put all these segments together, it made a long tube. He poured water in one end and it came out the other end, which represented all of us, the living water of God flowing through the Fellowship.

Great things are happening at our daily youth meetings. Miami Harvest Center has provided great music and ministry for our youth to catch the excitement and fire of the Fellowship.

Last night, Tim Storey preached an anointed, powerful message from Isaiah 46:9. Many people received the word of knowledge and were filled with His Spirit as everyone was in awe of the mighty presence of God. Worldwide evangelist Tim Story also reported that FGBMFI is “better than ever!”

In Miami, we are banding together to “Rise on the wings of Eagles!”

The first Report of the Fire Teams - Fire Teams have fanned out across the city of Miami, as the 2002 FGBMFI World Convention began. Yesterday, Monday, July 22 and this morning, Tuesday, July 23, 2002, many people received training on how to win a total stranger to Jesus Christ. Many are participating in a Fire Team for the very first time.

Over 100 Fire Team members are in the heart of the city as we write. Todays reports have not been phoned in, but there are GOD-Mobiles in shopping centers, one Fire Team is at the detention center, and several are witnessing right on the streets of Miami, the “Gateway” to Latin America. Early reports are that many businessmen are listening to the message of God through the men who are canvassing the neighborhoods. Yesterday, before noon, there were 12 recorded decisions made at the GOD-Mobile site at the Courthouse in Cutler Ridge. Courthouse officials asked the GOD-Mobile to move around noon, due to permit conflicts.

Richard Shakarian had a chanced visit with some of the South Florida Fire Team members before they departed yesterday. “This is the real purpose of the Fellowship,” he told one group. “Charged-up” Fire Teams are attacking various areas of the city.

Over 605,000 life-changing decisions for the Lord have been recorded by our recent Fire Team Outreaches in Oklahoma, Texas, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Currently, we are over one-third our way to reach our vision and goal of 10,000,000 souls by the end of next year. Let us keep up the good work.

To help in the Fire Team success, round-the-clock prayer is happening this very moment. That is right, 108 hours of non-stop prayer began this morning! • 2nd - His name is great because He did great things. Every night millions of mothers rocking their children to sleep in their arms, whisper the name of Jesus. Not the name of a Caesar, or a president, general or king. Rather they whisper the majestic healing name of Jesus.
• 3rd - Because He overcame Satan and all the demons in Hell. He rose triumphant, victorious defeating Satan. Jesus took the keys of death and hell. He sealed the devils complete defeat. God wins!

Jesus defeated all hell! Now He stands before three worlds. The undisputed Victor over mankinds ancient destroyer.
Then Jesus proclaimed - 'All power is given unto me in Heaven and on Earth'.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His name has never lost its power.

THE EARLY CHURCH HAD A SECRET!
The secret was how they used the name of Jesus! Jesus Himself taught the disciples to use His name-Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name. Ask and ye shall receive, that your joy might be full- Jn. 16:24.

There are incredible possibilities in the name of Jesus.
He gave the early church the right to use His name. That meant that they were to represent Him.
When they prayed in Jesus name, it was as though Jesus Himself was praying!
All St. Peter had to say was, In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk!

Just like St. Peter - Two young men on our fire Teams remembered those words and the name of Jesus. They were witnessing to a beggar who had never walked. The young men said: In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk!

The young beggar who had never walked was instantly and miraculously healed. He ran and leapt screaming. Miracle, Miracle, Jesus healed me!

All that Jesus represents HIS NAME IS!

The weakest person now has the legal right to all the grace, power, blessing, health, and healing that was and IS in Jesus.

The name of Jesus can solve your unsolvable problem today. Just whisper JESUS
and now, IN THE NAME OF JESUS. THE NAME OF AUTHORITY OVER ALL THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL - I COMMAND COMPLETE RESTORATION TO YOU, YOUR BODY, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER - AMEN.

The spirit took my father around the world again, now he saw millions of men with chains of sin broken. With the weight of frozen isolation falling from them like sheets of ice, death was now turned to life and sorrow into unspeakable joy. With hands free from bondage and faces shining, they began to worship Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. In fifty years we feel we have just begun on the journey to complete the vision. Today for millions around the world, Jesus Christ has become King of Kings and Lord of their lives.

Using the vision each of us can measure what we see. As my father first only saw himself, do we see only ourselves, or just our neighborhood, or only our nation, or a world in bondage. Or like the vision, have we been lifted up in our spirit to see the heart of God a world free of bondage, joyously fellowshipping and worshipping together. What stage of the vision are you in?

My father has been gone for almost a decade, but the task he left us has yet to be completed. God RESTORED Israel as He delivered them out of slavery. They came out loaded with silver and gold. They received restoration of the back wages of generations. . 400 years was paid in a day! They came out wealthy, healed, and there was not a feeble one among them. They marched into the enemies camp and they took back what he stole from them.

Let us, you and I march into the enemies camp and take back all that satan has stolen for generations, since early church.

Jer. 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer you, and SHOW you - In the Hebrew the word SHOW means to prove with evidence to the view of others.

God said - SOMEONE WILL NOTICE.

You will be able to point to God and say, He is the one I serve, He made me, He takes care of me and He is my provider. Your life will be a witness pointing to God.

The night before the enemy heard the sound (made by God) of a great advancing army, and they fled. They left their gold, their silver, their clothes, their treasures, their tents, and they fled.

The day before the prophet had prophesied an abundance.

One word from God can change your life forever!
TOMORROW ABOUT THIS TIME! the prophet declared an abundance of food and wealth. He didn t say 30 days.

He said TOMORROW everything is going to be reversed.
Within 24 hours - God can reverse it all! He can turn it around!
Is there anyone who will believe? ABOUT THIS TIME TOMORROW!
I dare you to believe it can be reversed.

FGBMFI – USA – State Capitol Outreach Oklahoma City – Oklahoma – February 18 – 19, 2002
State Senators, Representatives, Church Leaders and Full Gospel Business Men, from all over Oklahoma gathered to honor God at the convention center ballroom near the State Capitol for an event called the “Heartland Prayer Summit.”

“Will you believe me for the State of Oklahoma?” These were the words that came to Alan Schmook (FGBMFI Director) as he prayed at one of our men’s camps. Alan connected with Dr. John Benefield who is the head of “concert of prayer”, which includes intercessors in all seventy-seven counties of the State and five hundred churches of all denominations, and Dr Bruner, president of IIMAI, which includes hundreds of churches in Oklahoma in a call to prayer.

The result was a powerful witness and prayer with members of the state legislature.

On Monday, James McKeown, president of the community bankers association of Oklahoma took me to the offices of many senators and representatives at the State Capitol. I was tremendously blessed as several important legislators told me the stories of critical moments when God helped them.

Two or three years ago, two ladies walked the halls of the State Capitol silently praying for every legislator as they quietly walked. They even got out on the floor of the senate and assembly when they were not in session and prayed over every chair. No one knows who these ladies are, and very few knew what they were doing, but since that time there has been a change in the spirit and the number of Christians is growing.

The speaker of the house is Larry E. Adair, a long time life member of FGBMFI.

On Tuesday, in the morning I attended a Pastor’s prayer meeting. After I spoke one of the pastors (who originally was a businessmen and part of FGBMFI and today is a very successful pastor and leader of pastors) stood up and with great emotions apologized to myself as head of the FGBMFI for the closed attitude of many pastors. All the pastors prayed for me and I felt it was a new beginning with the churches.

Tuesday night, as we all gathered to pray, and be encouraged, the Lord gave me great freedom of spirit. I told of the great works of God in the lives of ordinary people and presidents of nations both in America and abroad. The Holy Spirit just seemed to move right in. I had everyone do something that is Christ like. He gave of Himself. So, we each gave of ourselves by praying for the one next to us. Then, they all came forward for prayers. It seemed like no one wanted to leave as ordinary people and important senators, representatives and government workers received an uplifting touch from the hand of the Master.

Our Lord said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.”
It was God at work last Monday Feb 4th in the elegant Café Royal as 300 of the “Creme de la Crème” business, banking, insurance, legal, and capitol markets, leaders attended our ‘Decision Makers’ dinner coordinated by Martin Clarke, our International Director at large.

A wonderful presence of Christ came upon the people after a four-course dinner in a chandelier filled ballroom as Martin Clarke gave his personal testimony. He told exactly what his life was like before he found Christ. This honesty broke every bondage as these leaders of business recognized themselves in his testimony.

I ministered the powerful stories of the changed lives of our men around the world. And how Solomon, the richest and wisest man in the world asked God for understand and wisdom. Then Dr. Patrick Dixon who the wall street journal calls the “The global change guru” spoke about future technology. Then he gave His own powerful testimony.

Many of our guests had never heard the gospel. More than 50% did not know Christ. They included Directors and Chairmen of Europe’s largest banks – General Council of one of Europe’s largest computer companies – Chairman of the largest Home builders – Europe’s biggest venture Capitalist – managing Director of Europe largest insurance company – Several among the wealthiest men in the U.K – Head of Europe’s Bank of development and construction – and many many others of equal note. Rodney Radcliffe was master of ceremonies.

Many said, “I have never heard anything like this before! Yes, Christ does draw all men unto Him; about 30 E-mails and 45 letters have already been received from the invited guests. It is expected that 40 or more will receive Christ as a result of the dinner. The seed has been sown and the ripple effects for Christ will go through the world and into eternity.

A mantle or covering from God is upon this Fellowship. God has anointed us to reach not only leaders, but a special anointing to reach all men. You can be under the covering of this anointing. Stay connected with us here at the World Headquarters.

Caribbean .. “The Caribbean Regional Convention was a wonderful event,” reports Raymond Cottrell. The island of Trinidad was more than blessed by the presence of the Lord. Many delegates came from several islands in the region to attend this event. God Bless our friends from Martinique who arrived with 73 people.

European Leaders Leuven, Belgium ..73 Delegates representing 16 nations welcomed Ron Weinbender and me as I shared our vision to reach 10 million souls for Christ in three years. Keep the faith!

France .. Vichy National Conference ..1000 people attended the Vichy France conference. The theme was “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. The focus was to strengthen the faith of participants and encourage them to reach others for Christ. Bruno Berthon said, “We were blessed to see so many young people and children at the conference.”

Hungary.. Don’t forget our brothers in Budapest. We are all encouraged by the new people attending their chapter meetings. Keep up the good work! Miklos Molnar

Romania… a small team from France, led by Dominique Decle recently joined Romania’s National President, Daniel Neamteanu, to participate in three Fellowship meetings. Their first meeting was in Calan. Approximately 40 people attended, including 8 newcomers. The second meeting took place in Arad, where 50 people attended, including 12 were newcomers. The third meeting was in Oradea and 6 out of the 30 attendees were first time visitors.

Cyprus and Egypt .. John Wright and Mike Bennett of the UK report they had a great meeting with the Greek orthodox bishops. They agreed it was best for non-orthodox men to evangelize the orthodox by having day-long business seminars in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos. We will continue to hold you men in prayer.

El Salvador .. Dr. Mauricio Loucel (National President), John Carrette (Executive Vice-President) and Bruno Caamano (Assistant Secretary) have recently returned from the El Salvador National Convention, which was attended by some 2,000 people. During the 4 days of fire team outreaches prior to the Convention, over 48,000 people were reached for Christ. There is a great openness in this nation and it is believed that FGBMFI El Salvador can reach 1 million souls for Christ within the next three years. Come on FGBMFI let’s rally around those who are answering the call to reach 10 million souls.

Nigeria ..Over 25,000 joined me as we preached the Gospel. Hundreds received Christ, and thousands were encouraged at this great event. I had a personal meeting with his Excellency Chief Olusegun Obansanjo, the President of Nigeria; I believe this man will be important bridge between the Christians and Moslems in Africa. Nigeria has approximately 15,000 paid male members, and approx 15,000 paid ladies of the Fellowship. The Fellowship in Nigeria is made up of many professional people and we can all be proud of our brothers and sisters in Africa.

Israel .. Please continue to pray for the protection of our brothers in Israel at this dangerous time. Daniel Yaboah, Director in Tel Aviv, welcomes visits from members in other nations, and asks if you’re coming to Israel to contact him at (Tel/Fax: 972-3-7394608). The Lord has told Daniel that we need to work in Israel while we still have time. The bible says that the day will soon turn to night and no-one will be able to work.

Belgium .. Rick Van Neste has been elected the new National President for Belgium. Congratulations! We will keep you in prayer.

Italy .. Luciano di Pieri, the National President, says that a chapter was recently started in Turin, the seat of the industrial union. More than 50 key people were present. The officers of this new chapter will be a mix of Roman Catholics and Evangelicals. Let’s encourage our Brothers as they cross denominational lines to preach the Gospel.

Scandinavia .. Alf Liljehall, National President Sweden joins special guest Richard Shakarian at Gothenburg in May 23-25 2002. Come expecting God rich blessing. Make your plans to attend and receive.

Norway .. Hans-Petter Thue, National President, has recently been encouraged by former members of FGBMFI requesting that we restart the prayer breakfasts in Bergen. The Bergen Chapter used to be the largest chapter in Norway.

Finland .. A new chapter is starting in Nastolla where they have been holding preparation prayer meetings over the past months. Charles and Mary Ann Flynn (USA), who are old friends of mine, are visiting Finland and are involved in a program where they visit churches, holding restaurant meetings and conduct seminars. They are also planning to visit and talk to members of parliament. We are all blessed by your efforts.

United Kingdom .. The Commonwealth Games are planned for July 25 to August 4, 2002 in Manchester, England. More than 2000 athletes will be taking part, representing 72 nations. Chris Basson and the Salford Chapter (North-West England) are heading up an outreach to these Games. They intend to stir up enthusiasm for this outreach to the athletes, the general public, and FGBMFI. It is expected that over one billion people will be watching the Games on Television. 10 million souls? Let’s go team! together we will make it

Cambodia .. 1000 copies of the book ‘Happiest People on Earth’ in Kmer, sponsored by Germany and the brothers in Thailand, have been printed in Bangkok. Thailand has been invited to take part in the next Cambodia outreach, which will probably take place at the end of January or the beginning of February 2002. Another victory won for the Lord.

Ukraine .. As mentioned in the previous Networking Newsletter there have been recent outreaches in Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk, where several new chapters have been added. Russia .. German outreach teams led by Manfred Petri have visited Saratov twice during the summer. Here is a report from Michael Dilio, Seattle, USA, Approximately 40 Russians (from some 17 cities), Brad Hanson, a team from Kislovodsk and two Americans attended the Southern Russia FGBMFI Conference held in Rostov on September 28 and 29, 2001. Key Russian businessmen were present and were taught on the subjects “What FGBMFI is” and “FGBMFI Leadership Training.” Vladimir Alikhanov (Director Southern Russia), and Joseph Pyott from the USA did an outstanding job of the teaching.

USA .. Bob Nations of Cape Girardeau, MO, has started brand new. Businessmen’s networking lunch. Let’s keep Bob in prayer. We are looking for a good report in the months to come.

Oklahoma City .. Join President Richard Shakarian and Alan Schmook February 19, 2001 for a powerful time of inspirational at the Heartland Fire Rally.
We intend to reach Members of the State Legislature, elected officials and business leaders. We want the secular leadership of Oklahoma to know and receive God’s word. I would appreciate your prayer for this important event.

Congratulations Miami!

Two years ago, the FGBMFI men in Miami announced their hope to start 100 local chapters. Back then, it seemed like an impossible dream. Three or four years ago Miami had a total of three chapters. TODAY, there are 23 chapters and many others being formed.

International Director Daniel Caamano reports that 7 people accepted Christ at the last meeting in the 8th St. Restaurant Chapter. This chapter reports that three to seven people are accepting the Lord every time they meet, Hallelujah!

Most of the Miami Chapters meet once a week and reports of many people accepting Jesus Christ stir our hearts to rejoice in the work God is doing in this region. Even in the midst of sinful South Miami Beach, the gospel is being preach and people are coming to Faith in Jesus Christ. How wonderful to know that the mission of FGBMFI is alive and well in the South Miami Beach area.

Thanks to Daniel Caamano and Milt Thomas, who recently opened the nation of Haiti with several chapters. Pray for Daniel this week, he is on his way to meet 300 businessmen who want to begin 5 – 10 chapters in Cartazena, Columbia. God be with you brother.

Recently, I had a chance to ask Daniel what was making the difference in Miami. Daniel said, “We have come to realize that we have one of the strongest ministries in the World. It is a ministry for today. Many lost people are tired of preaching, but some of them are eager to hear the testimonies of men.” GO MIAMI! On to 100 chapters!

Dinners for sinners

We all experience incredible JOY as many found Christ at a special FGBMFI Kansas City Outreach Christmas Banquet. 250 men and women from all over the Kansas region came to the KC Marriott this past Friday night. Bill & Marti Phipps had urged every one to bring businessmen and women that needed to find Christ as their personal Savior - Dinners For Sinners. Bill says, "Everyone is rejoicing for all those who have come in to the family of God.”

Los Angeles - Latin Breakfast draws 500

Bruno & Maria Caamano invited 500 guests to a beautiful Country Club in Los Angeles for Breakfast Sat Dec 1. What a power packed morning. The building was filled to capacity as the people enjoyed great Latin music of praise. Among the 500 guests were 120 pastors who were specially honored. Before the morning was finished many people committed their lives to Christ.

Special speakers included: from Germany - Winfred Fuchs teaching businessmen and women management of business by the Holy Spirit. I taught on the creative power of God to bring success in our personal lives as well as in our businesses. And from Argentina world famous Evangelist Carlos Annacondia, who gave a powerful message on the value of the anointing, the call, and the care that Jesus had for every single person.

The anointing was so strong in the music, testimonies and message no one wanted to leave. The most difficult decision on the day was when to stop no one wanted to leave.

The Breakfast lasted until 1:00 p.m.

God Answers Prayer re: Sep 11th 2001

Million of Christians rejoiced as Heather Mercer and Dayna Curry, two young Christian missionaries to Afghanistan, were released after spending over three months in captivity in a Taliban prison.

“Because we would go,” was the answer given by the young ladies to a national TV commentator when he asked, “Why did you go?” They said, “When we gave our life to Christ, we committed to go wherever He asked, He probably asked others, but we went because God asked us to go.”

President Bush called their lengthy incarceration by the Taliban, “A wonderful story about prayer, about faith that can sustain people in good times and in bad times.” The young ladies said they prayed for the President everyday.

> From the White House I received the following letter:

“…in the face of this evil, our country remains strong and united, a beacon of freedom and opportunity to the rest of the world.

We must remember that our Arab and Muslim American citizens love our nation and must be treated with dignity and respect. Americans of every creed, ethnicity, and national origin, must unit against our common enemies.

I deeply appreciate the support and prayers of so many Americans. God bless you and your family and God bless America.”

AFRICA Report 28 Nov 2001

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus, all goodness, mercy and blessings is in and through our Savior.

I have just returned from Abuja, Nigeria, where we conducted the 2001 "Abuja Strategic Convention," which is the national convention of FGBMFI Nigeria. Hundreds of people received Christ and thousands were encouraged as more than 25,000 Nigerians gathered in Eagle Square Stadium at their capital city for this great event.

The Convention theme, Isaiah 60:18 "Violence shall no more be heard in thy land."

I had special personal meetings with his Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obansanjo, President of Nigeria. He is a very special man with a Joseph like story, from prison to president. Today as the President of Nigeria and elected leader of a group of 85 developing nations, he is the most important man to bridge the gap in Africa between Christians and Moslems. The Lord gave me a special word for him, for God has brought him to this place. Now, "Arise, shine for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee... and the gentiles (unbelievers) shall come to thy light and kings to the brightness of thy rising."

Pray for President Obansanjo as God is calling him to be a bridge not only in a religiously divided nation, but also in a religiously divided continent and world. As I prayed, I drew a picture of the gentiles (unbelievers) crossing the bridge attracted by the light of God's glory.

My special thanks to Sam Mbata, FGBMFI Regional Vice-President, Arc. Bunmi Adedeji, FGBMFI Nigeria National President, and to the approximately 15,000 paid male members and approximately 15,000 paid Ladies of the Fellowship. The Fellowship in Nigeria is made up of many professional people including high government officials, governors, members of the cabinet, doctors, engineers, architects, educators, business owners and others. We can all be proud of our brothers and sisters in Africa.

The Fellowship in Nigeria is a big part of FGBMFI global outreach because of their consistent giving both through their national office and by many individuals.

RUSSIA 2000 JUBILEE

Report by Michael Dileo Approximately 56 men and women from the U.S. and Europe started in Moscow with a training seminar on September 9th. Some of the Russians traveled as far as 4000-5000 Km in order to attend the meeting representing 61 different cities. There were two banquets held while in Moscow which were very successful. The following 15 days teams went to the various cities however we didn't have sufficient teams to fulfill all the requests. Approximately 46 cities wanted representation. There were 8 new chapters established in the Rostov-On -Don region plus 2 more in Kislovodsk and Cherkesk. There are many glowing reports on salvation and it is obvious the entire nation is wide open to the FGBMFI.

Report From Japan

Japan’s rise from ashes after World War II has been heralded. Today, Japan is a powerhouse economy, built on exports. The ingenuity of the Japanese people is unparalleled. They have masterminded their financial, manufacturing and electronic rise even though they have almost no raw materials. Japan has no oil, no steel, and lacks many of the essential materials upon which a modern economy is built. All of these materials must be imported. At the same time, this great historic nation is undergoing one of the greatest changes in the openness of the minds and hearts of its people. From 1192 AD until 1868 the Japanese people virtually lived as surfs, dominated by the warlords and shoguns of the land. Since the rise of modern Japan and its evolving into today’s great economy, the Holy Spirit has moved upon the people. The FGBMFI is established in it’s great cities, and there is a spirit of spiritual awakening.

As we walked along the streets of Tokyo the Holy Spirit revealed, that among these 125 million who are shoved into a space smaller than California, there is a new openness of Spirit, and surprisingly it is with the young people. As our delegates to the Japanese National Convention witnessed to people, whether on the street, or wherever, it almost always ended in the person receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior. Yes, this new generation is complete with the latest fads, with every young person seemingly carrying a cell phone, and interested in all the latest technology. This is the generation that the Holy Spirit will fall upon. They are open to the Spirit. We of FGBMFI are believing God will use us to reach Japan.

The 10th Annual Japanese Convention was a tremendous success, led by Ken Tsukamoto, the National President, and Tadashi Nakagawa, the Japanese National Secretary. There were about 600 people present. During this convention in Tokyo many received Christ and now filled with the Holy Spirit. There were tremendous healings also. The ministry team included Dave Duell from the USA, Dr. Steve Rider from Australia, and Richard Shakarian. In service after service many were touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Christian newspapers reported our convention. Now there is a new wave of cooperation between the Fellowship and the churches in Japan to the extent that many of the great crusade and outreach efforts are being helped or coordinated by the FGBMFI and National President, Ken Tsukamoto. 

The last day of the convention ended with a great banquet. About the time the service would have normally been dismissed the power of the Holy Spirit fell upon the people and there was joy all over the place. People were laughing. Some couldn’t get off the floor. These were very dignified Japanese people with the glory upon them. Joy – Joy – Joy! It was just a time of tremendous joy.

The National Board are all in their 40’s and full of the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s a tremendous combination for today’s Japan. Everywhere you look Japan is a paradox – great wealth contrasted by great spiritual poverty. There is tremendous advertising and labeling – about three times as much in the way of signs and colors than we would find in America. Yet at the same time, their personal lives are so narrow and focused. Also, there are electronics that we will not have in America for another year that are commonly sold on the streets in Japan. Yet those who value communication so much are so lacking communication with the Spirit of God. Japan is ready. You can sense it as you ride the train. You could sense it as you walked down the streets. The Holy Spirit is saying, “Japan is ready.” It’s ready for a move of the Spirit of God, beginning with the youth. Their music, their culture will be swept by the Holy Spirit by on fire young people of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International.

God is certainly shaking Japan, as we’ve seen through earthquakes and typhoons, which hit Okinawa and missed the main part of Japan while we were there. Being on the Pacific Rim of Fire there are commonly earth quakes. Now the uranium accident. You can hear the cry of the people even in the streets. The blaring loud speakers of those ultra extremists who are responsible for the death of so many. Yes, Japan is up for grabs. Competing forces fighting to be heard in this atmosphere. The fresh testimonies, one after another, having received Jesus Christ shows that there are no cultural, economic, social or language barrier to the tremendous power of God.
